He is frisky enough. He is high headed, has lots of go, a frisky playfulness, but he is also trusting and willing to partner and please. Very typical of Walking Horses.
They are, for the most part, really good boys. Some are sweeter than others. The one in the video is the most trusting & personable of the bunch. He is also the newest and youngest.
Wow, you’ve got a good stand of grass–makes me envious. Been such a dry fall here that some of the pastures around already look like putting greens. Not good going into winter.
I’ve heard rumors of a bad winter for some places. Our wooly worms stayed mostly light brown, so hopefully mild for us. We stayed in the 80’s until almost Halloween and we had a slightly dry summer and then have been wetter than normal since Sept. Most gulf storms even to find us.
Hang in there, we’ve had those praying we make it on hay winters.
He has a spring in his step!

Cool, crisp air seems to encourage the lightness in our steps, regardless of age or just how tired we may otherwise be! Lovely video.

Yes! He was wild this morning. A good sign as he is coming off of an injury.

That tail is up and so is he. Glad to hear he is not quite so frisky under saddle.

You can see his joy as he was running and then rearing up on his hind legs. You are so lucky.

And he was showing off because he was the last one out. And he is healing from an injury, so he may be feeling extra good.
