When I am able to step away from the commotion around me, to see what is happening, I become the observer. When I am able to pause the stories in my head and see what emotion they are covering or protecting, I become the observer.

My daily physical and spiritual practices not only ground me, they help me be the observer. When I do not take the chaos of work, life of the news personally, I am the observer.

This is a very busy and fulfilling time for me at work. Lots of good stuff is happening. As a very high energy person, I find that I will get too amped up. This is when I go for a walk, or close my door to listen to a chat, or find a quiet place for a break. This how I practice what I preach. This is how I find the observer in chaos.
Love this. Really like the photos too.

Birds are quintessential observers, like your great blue heron there. Nature is a great teacher. I love the ways you find to practice what you preach.

Love the way you described this. The observer gives us so many gifts. Pure magic beyond mind, just being with the blue heron and seeing it without overlays of thought.
