Friday, July 23, 2021 is a full moon. Full moons are a completion of a cycle, a time of gratitude and release.
I am called to the water for the full moon. In the summer I like being on a larger body of water. Other times I am in a warm bath. I start with breath work to calm and ground my energy. Once I feel myself slip into a relaxed state, I offer up my gratitudes as an act of thankful prayer. Next, with my body or just my hand and feet in water, I start stating what I am releasing. For example, one I will be using this week is, “I release the need to be a people pleaser at the expense of my personal power.” After I recite my release list, I lay still and imagine all that I listed leaving my body. As a final step I will ask if there is anything else that needs to be released. I continue in my meditative state to allow whatever needs to go to flow out and into the water. If I am in the tub, I stay until all of the water has drained.
