For the last two to years I have wanted to do a sunrise paddle.Last Saturday I made it to the lake in time to enjoy the sunrise from land.Being on land allowed me to stalk this heron. And capture her flight.Once on the water, it was wonderful to only be sharing the lake with fishermen and scull crews and rowers. The time felt sacred. It was quiet. Herons were everywhere. I will be out early again this weekend.
Wow, I love sunrise and sunset. They are so beautiful. LOL. And your pictures are wonderful. Love the heron and the slanting little trees. They just grow too close to the water.
I felt that sacred space with you. How beaUTIFUL

Thank you! I am land-locked as well, I’m just lucky to live in the land of TVA damns and lakes!

Those first two make me want to walk into the scene with a very high quality cup of coffee made from french roast beans. Very nice.
