Six weeks ago I fell crossing a city street and broke my arm. On Friday and again today I tried plank and Down Dog. Chaturanga is still too painful to do right now. The form may not be perfect and my left arm may not be straight, but I am on my hands.
Six years ago I started yoga to heal my back. I had two bulging disc. Yoga and PT made me strong. Now I have lost strength with a broken arm. PT and yoga will help me heal.
I believe yoga helped lessen the severity of my break. I am over 50 and had a clean break, no reset or surgery required. I guess that is #yogastrong.
In yoga we talk about “begin again”. I am beginning again and will come back.
