What I learned this week, 4/12/19

1. I don’t do Extended Hand-to-Big-Toe Pose very well. For years I have chosen to do standing leg raise with a bent knee. I was challenged to grab my big toe and go for it. It was a mess. Now I am teaching what I need to learn. My yoga classes are working on balance.

2. The more stressed and busy I am, the more I need to take a break. Duh! Reading a book in the sun at lunch is a treat.

3. You don’t know what you don’t know: I’m finding misunderstandings or miscommunications happen when my coworker/friend/ and I do not have the same understanding. Rather that keep explaining what is “right” and what is “wrong”, I find taking a step back to double check the basic goal/direction/why helps show where we have different understandings. Adding or receiving the missing information easily resolves the issue.

4. Ask for help: I’m having a lot of leg & foot pain. It could be planters fasciitis or my sciatic nerve. I’ve returned to doing my old physical therapy moves (helping) and I had a great PT session.
